They serve a cup of hot black tea while waiting. They also have the best sandwiches ever ... like Lamb Kabob and all kind of Shawarma sandwiches. - A. Wael
Petra's lamb kebobs are AMAZING - - the best I've ever had at a restaurant (and I travel all over the world). - Mark. L
Having grown up in a middle eastern house hold, I know exactly what authentic middle eastern food is. This place absolutely nailed it!
I started off with the hummus appetizer. Petra grill literally had the perfect ratio of Tahini and hummus. I literally left the plate spotless! Then my entree came and it was time for another round of judging. I ordered the lamb kabob. IT WAS THE BEST LAMB KABOB I EVER ATE IN A RESTAURANT. I swear I am not over exaggerating! The kabob blew me away! It was filled with so much flavor and it was cooked just right! -B. Hammam
"Righteous halal food”
This is a gem hidden among a herd of frightfully bad chain restaurants. Even more hidden because their official address is West Elizabeth, but their entrance is actually around the corner on City Park. Really tasty, high quality Middle Eastern food, nice folks working there, reasonable prices. The worst thing about the Petra Grill is that there are too many good things on their menu to try. Parking available around back. And they are open till 11 pm most nights! -- Chas S.
